BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Ben Rortvedt hit a run-scoring single in the ninth inning, leading the Cedar Rapids Kernels to a 7-5 win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Friday. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Kernels. Bowling Green had a runner on first in the bottom of the ninth, but Taylor Walls hit into a double play to end the game. The single by Rortvedt, part of a two-run inning, gave the Kernels a 6-5 lead before Jordan Gore hit an RBI single later in the inning.
