The CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos added Owens to their negotiations list, which gives the team his exclusive rights in that league, in mid-June. Owens activated his 10-day clause with the Eskimos on July 14, according to a report from 3downsnation.com. Edmonton now has 10 days to either offer Owens a contract or release his rights. He is set to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in early August. He last played in an NFL game with the Bengals in 2010. Owens, 44, tallied 15,934 receiving yards and caught 153 touchdown passes over his 15-year NFL career and made the Pro Bowl five times. Owens has recently hinted at a comeback and posted an Instagram video last month in which he was shown running the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds.
