The English transfer window has closed, ahead of the new Premier League season kicking off on Friday evening, and there were mixed fortunes for the top-flight clubs on what turned out to be a busy deadline day. Chelsea unveiled their new £71.6m goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, while his predecessor Thibaut Courtois was given the same red-carpet treatment at Real Madrid, and the club also announced the arirval of Mateo Kovacic from Real on a season-long loan.
