Georgia head coach Kirby Smart addressed the potential quarterback controversy brewing on his team following Saturday’s 36-16 loss at LSU. The Bulldogs have two strong quarterback options between Jake Fromm and Justin Fields. Fromm, who took Georgia to the National Championship Game as a freshman last year, struggled against LSU. He went just 16/34 for 209 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. He entered the game completing 72.8 percent of his passes for 1,200 yards, 12 touchdowns and two interceptions. Fields, a freshman, has seen limited action in each game, though he did not attempt a pass against LSU. He has completed 72 percent of his passes for 200 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He’s also rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Based on how unproductive Georgia was, fans were wondering if Smart would make a switch to Fields, but that did not happen. Smart said after the game there was plenty of blame to go around and he was not pinning things on Fromm.
