Boston’s new manager was ejected in the fifth inning when he argued a third-strike call on Andrew Benintendi with runners on second and third base with two outs. This is the pitch that got Alex Cora ejected. Borderline in either direction, really. pic.twitter.com/DKPw7ZgVbv— Mike Petriello (@mike_petriello) October 14, 2018 The pitch, which was borderline on the outside corner to Benintendi, ended a scoring threat when the Red Sox had already scored twice in the frame to tie the score at 2-2. Cora was the Astros’ bench coach in 2017 when Houston won the World Series over the Dodgers. Ron Roenicke took over on the bench.
