Deputies believe the women were attempting to dispose of the evidence while the driver allegedly tried to crash one of the pursuing patrol units. The items still had anti-theft devices attached. The women allegedly filled a cart full of goods at Walmart and pushed it out an emergency exit before fleeing, Signal Mountain Walmart officials confirmed to the department. The pursuit began when a deputy saw the car driving erratically. The women led deputies through Highway 153 to Dayton Pike and several surrounding roads. The driver lost control and wrecked on Hixson Pike, according to deputies. The driver of the vehicle, Keoshia Starling, had multiple warrants for similar thefts. She now faces additional charges of reckless driving, felony reckless endangerment, four counts of felony aggravated assault and aggravated assault on police. The two passengers were Kanisha Davis and Kamesha Jones. They were both arrested on charges of aggravated assault on police, tampering with evidence and felony evading arrest. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone at businesses who have experienced similar incidents to come forward.
