They all have, at some point, lined up under center for Buffalo this season. The struggling Bills have had their share of QB woes, and after dealing with lingering injuries — Anderson (concussion) and Allen (elbow) — and poor performances from Peterman, Barkley will be the team’s latest starter Sunday against the Jets. The team announced the news Saturday after Allen was officially ruled out. Barkley, who signed a one-year deal with the Bills Oct. 31, last played in 2016 for the Bears, who finished that season with the worst record (3-13) for the team since the NFL’s move to 16-game seasons in 1978. Before finishing out that year for Chicago, Barkley spent two seasons in Philadelphia, where he played in a total of four games as the Eagles’ backup.
