Hull City suffered a heartache in the Carabao Cup after crashing out against Preston North End following a penalty shootout defeat at Deepdale. Goals either side of half-time from Josh Magennis and Jarrod Bowen took the game to spot kicks, after Paul Huntington and Josh Harrop had given the hosts a two-goal lead midway through the first half.
