Texas football fans petition for night kickoff against Alabama after FOX announcement

Texas football fans are not happy with Tuesday’s announcement the Longhorns’ Week 2 home against Alabama next season is officially set to air on FOX . Despite a kickoff time not yet being announced, fans assume Alabama-Texas kicks off shortly after the network’ s Big Noon Kickoff show, which ends promptly at 11 a.m. CST. Given historical temperatures in Austin hovering in the 90s that time of day in September, Fans started a C hange.org petition as a result , entitled “Make Fox Put the Alabama Game at Night” and its nearing 500 signatures as of Wednesday morning. “Instead of competing with whatever game ESPN will choose to have at prime time, Fox Sports, like the cowards they are, elects to broadcast their marquee matchup of the day at noon.
