PBKS VS SRH PREVIEW by Narbavi R • Published on Share Tweet SRH already pressed the panic button in the last game and ended up making four changes. The ploy, however, didn't work. © BCCI/IPL The Overview Squashing pre-tournament predictions, Sunrisers Hyderabad have made a rocky start to their campaign losing all three games in Chennai so far. Some familiar issues have crept into their game again especially in the batting department and constant changes to that playing XI hasn't helped either. They certainly find themselves in unfamiliar territory lying at the bottom of the table, being the only winless side in the competition until now. The pre-match narrative will once again revolve around Kane Williamson's fitness and his potential inclusion in the playing XI. But against a side that's been erratic so far in the tournament, SRH can fancy their chances of opening their account considering the familiarity in terms of the … [Read more...] about PBKS stand in way of SRH’s elusive first win

KKR aim to shrug off early tournament lethargy
PREVIEW - KKR VS CSK by Akash Sarkar • Published on Share Tweet Will KKR consider bringing back the now-fit Sunil Narine into the XI. © BCCI/IPL The Overview Kolkata Knight Riders land in Mumbai with a nagging feeling of 'could have, would have and should have'. Head coach Brendon McCullum believes his side needs to "tidy up some areas". If the loss against Mumbai Indians was down to a mental block and the lower order having to deal with the worst conditions the track had to offer on the night, the loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore was down to some poor execution. Chepauk’s special night comes alive with new finishing act
NEW HERO by Kaushik Rangarajan • Published on Share Tweet Billings scored the third fastest fifty in CSK's history. © BCCI The MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. From the outside, a towering fortress with canopy tents, myriad stairways and entrances - three of them currently out of bounds. From the inside, cricketing heaven. Like the best of venues around the world, it has an ambience of its own - history, tradition, passion, despair. Here catcalls (whistles) are anything but signs of disapproval and the emotions are enjoyed with just a sprinkle of pepper from the humidity gods. Then there are the mood setters: the heroes that first put bums on seats and then take them off. And there have been that have done that here - from the Gavaskars and the Viswanaths to the Tendulkars and the Sehwags. The crowd-player bond is strong. And it needed bonds of that kind to fill up Chepauk on Tuesday (April 10) in the face of … [Read more...] about Chepauk’s special night comes alive with new finishing act
