Tyson Alualu had an agreement in place with the Jacksonville Jaguars and new head coach Urban Meyer . However, Alualu is backing out of his deal. Alualu had a change of heart and decided to go back where he was in 2020. The Pittsburgh Steelers locked him up, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. The former California product opted to return to Pittsburgh rather than return to his original NFL team. “After initially agreeing to terms with the #Jaguars , veteran DE Tyson Alualu had a change of heart and now is re-signing with the #Steelers on a two-year deal, per sources,” Pelissero tweeted. Alualu was drafted by the Jaguars in 2010 with the No. 10 overall pick. He spent time with the organization from 2010 to 2016 before joining the Steelers in 2017. Former first round pick Malcom Brown was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason after two seasons with the New Orleans Saints. Upon getting traded, Brown signed a new two-year contract. Usually when players head down to Jacksonville, it’s not as exciting. But with the arrival of former Ohio State and Florida head coach Urban Meyer , there’s a sense of excitement in the air. Marcedes Lewis is reportedly returning to the Green Bay Packers. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter , the veteran tight end has reached an agreement on a two-year, $8 million deal that includes $4 million in guaranteed money. The former UCLA standout, who is set to turn 37 in May, is entering his 16th season in the NFL. He has spent the last three with the Packers, appearing in 47 games with 30 starts and catching 28 passes for 302 yards and four touchdowns. Lewis started 15 games last season for the Packers, hauling in 10 receptions on 17 targets for 107 yards and three touchdowns. Prior to signing with Green Bay in 2018, Lewis played 12 seasons for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who selected him with the No. 28 overall pick in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He appeared in 170 games with 157 starts for the Jaguars, catching 375 passes for 4,502 yards and 33 touchdowns.
