Former England skipper Michael Vaughan feels Chennai Super Kings should look to build their team around their talisman all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Vaughan believes Jadeja will be the right successor for MS Dhoni, once the CSK skipper decides to call it a day from the IPL. Jadeja has been a consistent performer for CSK over the years and has done a fine job. The all-rounder has played at the top of his game in all three formats in the last couple of years. Jadeja has scored 2193 runs in 187 IPL matches at an average of 25.5 whereas he has scalped 116 wickets. Jadeja is a gun fielder and he took four catches against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Monday. Lydia Ko untouchable at Lotte Championship, breaking tourney record
KAPOLEI, Hawaii (AP) — Lydia Ko is golfing like she is a kid again. In other words, she’s tough to beat. No one came close at this week’s Lotte Championship. Ko torched Kapolei Golf Club and tournament records in the process. A final-round 65 Saturday left her at 28-under 260 and seven shots ahead of everybody. It brought back vivid memories of the teenager from New Zealand who became the youngest golfer — female or male — to rise to No. 1 the world in 2015. She is the LPGA’s youngest-ever winner, major winner, Rookie and Player of the Year. Ko, who turns 24 next Saturday, won 14 times in her first 81 starts, including twice as an amateur in 2012 and ’13. Delhi Capitals (DC) registered their second consecutive victory in the season after beating the Mumbai Indians (MI) by six wickets in Match 13 of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the M. A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday. Amit Mishra scalped four important wickets while Shikhar Dhawan led from the top with the bat to get DC over the line against MI. DC, who were chasing a target of 138, made two changes from the previous game, bringing in Shimron Hetmyer and Mishra.
