It was “College Night,” and the crowd inside numbered somewhere between 150 and 200, many of them students at nearby colleges and universities. The man, who police have identified as 28-year-old Marine veteran Ian David Long, stormed the bar with a Glock .45, opening fire on those inside seemingly at random. When it was over, 12 victims and the shooter were dead. More than a dozen others were injured. The victims included a Ventura County Sheriff’s deputy, Sgt.
