At best they were hoping for mid-table under new coach Claudio Ranieri. They didn’t just reach safety – they led the league for the majority of the season. They defied everyone in the world with wins over Manchester City, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool in order to win the league with two games left. This is no fluke. Leicester were on the same level of dominance of Chelsea a year ago. Jamie Vardy set the record of scoring in 11 straight games.
