SRI LANKA WOMEN TOUR OF PAKISTAN by Cricbuzz Staff • Published on Share Tweet Ayesha Naseem top-scored for Pakistan with 45 © Getty An allround bowling effort from Pakistan downed Sri Lanka in a second-successive low-scorer in Karachi. The home side chased down Sri Lanka's lowly 102 for 6 with 7 wickets and 17 balls to spare. Opting to bat again, Sri Lanka made a nightmarish start when captain Chamari Athapaththu fell in the third over. Number three batter Oshadi Ranasinghe followed suit for a 12-ball eight in the eighth over. Sri Lanka navigated out of the early dents with a semblance of partnership between Hasini Perera and Nilakshi de Silva. But that too lasted only as far as the 14th over when Tuba Hasasn saw the back of opener Perera. Harshitha Madavi attempted to stitch another stand with Nilakshi but that was also only worth 28 runs before she was dismissed. With that Sri Lanka went down to 90 for 4 in the 19th … [Read more...] about Pakistan women double their lead in another low-scorer

Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks Latest Odds: Golden State Warriors -6.5 Bet Now Prior to Game 4, I wrote about Golden State's underwhelming history of completing sweeps. Fortunately for the Warriors, they are far better in Game 5 settings. They have a 12-4 record in Game 5's under Steve Kerr, and given their history with 3-1 leads, they'll likely be anxious to finish Dallas off at home in Game 5 rather than give them a chance to linger. The shots finally started to fall for Dallas in Game 4, but with the venue shifting back to San Francisco for Game 5, the Warriors should be able to rely on their role players more … [Read more...] about NBA picks, best bets: Expect Golden State to punch its ticket to the NBA Finals with Game 5 win

Getty Images Naomi Osaka's hopes to win the 2022 French Open were dashed quickly as she fell to Amanda Anisimova in straight sets 7-5, 6-4 in the first round. That was a rematch from when Anisimova beat Osaka in the third round of this year's Australian Open. Even though Osaka didn't get the result she hoped for, she still said she left Paris in a much better way than last year. Osaka pulled out of the 2021 tournament before the second round due to mental health concerns. Returning this year wasn't easy, but she was happy she decided to do it. "These past few weeks in Europe have been a real character test but I'm glad I came," Osaka wrote on social media . "Overall just really happy this year I'm leaving with a completely different emotion than the previous one." As she wrapped up her clay court season, Osaka also discussed the upcoming grass season and her unsure thoughts regarding Wimbledon, due to no points being offered this year. French Open 2022: Rafael Nadal is still battling ‘chronic’ foot injury, will bring doctor to Roland Garros
Getty Images The 2022 French Open begins in less than two weeks, giving Rafael Nadal -- who's won the tournament a record 13 times -- a chance to add a 22nd Grand Slam title. A nagging foot injury, however, could make this trip to Roland Garros more arduous than usual for the world's No. 4 ranked men's singles player. Nadal, who looked rejuvenated when he won the Australian Open in January , is still battling the chronic foot pain that forced him to miss extended time last season. The 35-year-old first sustained the injury in 2005 , and it reared its head most recently and glaringly in his third-round loss to Denis Shapovalov at the Italian Open on Thursday. "Unfortunately, my day-by-day is difficult, honestly," Nadal said after the match , per CNN. "Even like this, I am trying hard ... it can be frustrating that a lot of days I can't practice the proper way." Nadal described himself as a "player living with an injury" after the Shapovalov match. He expressed a … [Read more...] about French Open 2022: Rafael Nadal is still battling ‘chronic’ foot injury, will bring doctor to Roland Garros

2022 French Open: Draw, seeds, schedule, how to watch, stream, live updates, scores, TV channel
Getty Images The first round round matchups are set as the men's and women's singles draws for the French Open were announced on Thursday. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz are all on the same side of the bracket. If things work out as expected, the top seed and defending champion Djokovic could face Nadal in the quarterfinal round. This would be a good opportunity for Nadal -- a 13-time French Open champion -- to make Djokovic pay for defeating him in last year's semifinals. Whoever advances could be taking on Carlos Alcaraz in the following round, that is if he can take care of Alexander Zverev in their own quarterfinal match. Alcaraz beat both Nadal and Djokovic in consecutive matches and went on to win the Madrid Open earlier in May. On the women's side, world No.1 Iga Swiatek will entered the competition with a 28-match winning streak and the No. 1 seed and her path to a second French Open title got a little clearer after some big names fell in the first … [Read more...] about 2022 French Open: Draw, seeds, schedule, how to watch, stream, live updates, scores, TV channel
WATCH: Novak Djokovic booed by French Open crowd in first Grand Slam appearance of 2022
Getty Images Novak Djokovic heard a chorus of boos during his first round match at the 2022 French Open. It marked the Serbian tennis star's first Grand Slam appearance of 2022 after missing the Australian Open due to being unvaccinated against COVID-19. Djokovic ended up defeating Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka, 6-3, 6-1, 6-0, during their opening round match on Monday. During the second set, Djokovic won a critical point in the match and chose to celebrate the accomplishment by pumping his fists. As a result, the crowd rained down boos on the 35-year-old star. United States tennis legend John McEnroe was in the booth to help call the match for Eurosport and weighed in on the crowd's reaction towards Djokovic. "Are you kidding me?" said McEnroe. "Why would they boo that? He's trying too hard, let's boo him." Just a short time later, Djokovic celebrated in a similar manner and the crowd chose to boo him once again. "I have no idea what they are thinking," McEnroe added. … [Read more...] about WATCH: Novak Djokovic booed by French Open crowd in first Grand Slam appearance of 2022
2022 French Open: Naomi Osaka returns to Roland Garros, still a bit worried but ready to handle the atmosphere
Getty Images A year after withdrawing from the French Open to take care of her mental health, Naomi Osaka is back in Paris and ready to tackle the challenges ahead. Osaka took a big step forward on Friday when she took part in a press conference ahead of this weekend's competition. "For the most part, I think I'm OK," she said. Last year, the former world No. 1 said that she experienced a "huge waves of anxiety" talking to the media. After winning the first round, she stopped fulfilling her media duties and was hit with a $15,000 fine. She then pulled out of the tournament. The mental health issues didn't just appear in 2021. She also explained she has social anxiety, which is the reason why that often wears headphones during tournaments. During Friday's press conference, Osaka admitted that there are a few things that are a bit worrisome in her return, but that she … [Read more...] about 2022 French Open: Naomi Osaka returns to Roland Garros, still a bit worried but ready to handle the atmosphere
