On Wednesday broadcast of Hugh Hewitt’s nationally syndicated radio show, MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle weighed in on the possibility former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg running for president.Ruhle, a former employee of Bloomberg, added that if he won, she’d be open to being his press secretary. With the midterm elections fast approaching Michael Bloomberg is spending $30 million on TV ads alone for Congressional gun controllers. The ad campaign is meant to benefit gun-control candidates in swing districts between now and the November 6 elections.The Hill reports that Bloomberg is spending the money through his Independence USA PAC. On October 23, Breitbart News reported that Bloomberg was spending millions on an ad campaign for gun-controller Katie Hill (D-CA-25). Bloomberg’s overall commitment is to spend $100 million this election cycle to see gun controllers take control of the House. On October 10, 2018, Breitbart News reported that Bloomberg is only one of many liberal billionaires trying to spend enough to flip the House. (Reuters) - Federal Reserve policymakers broadly agree that U.S. interest rates should rise further this year and next, despite U.S. President Donald Trump's displeasure with such a plan, two policymakers' comments underscored on Thursday. "Based on what I see today, I think two more rate hikes could be appropriate," along with several more next year as the Fed aims to move interest rates to a neutral setting of about 3 percent, Kansas City Fed Bank President Esther George told Bloomberg TV. The interview was taped on Wednesday, one day before the start of an annual central bankers' conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which she is hosting. Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan, in a CNBC interview later in the day, said he sees three or four rate increases necessary over the next nine to 12 months.
