There’s no value for experience in Bangladesh: Rahim
BANGLADESH V SRI LANKA, 2022 by Atif Azam • Published on Share Tweet "Only in Bangladesh, I have seen that people compare me to Bradman when I score a century, but then when I don't score runs, I feel like digging a hole for myself." © AFP "Only in Bangladesh, I have seen that people compare me to Bradman when I score a century, but then when I don't score runs, I feel like digging a hole for myself. I am one of the senior players so we are not going to be around for long. But this is becoming a culture, so the younger players need the support. If I have to spend so much time tackling these things off the field, our on-field duties get affected." Mushfiqur Rahim made quite an emotional pitch in the press conference following the fourth day's play, even if slightly hyperbolic. It came on a day when he registered is eighth Test century, en route which he became the first Bangladesh player to register 5000 Test runs. IPL 2022: Most important thing when you are bowling at the death is to stay calm: Bhuvi tells Umran
Malik played a key role in SRH's narrow win as he picked up three crucial wickets from three overs, returning with a spell of 3 for 23. Following the game, Malik opened up about his wicket-taking celebration. The SRH youngster said his fist-pumping celebration has been influenced by mentor and bowling coach Dale Steyn. Talking to senior teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar in a video posted on the Indian Premier League website, Malik said Steyn always celebrates in this manner whenever he takes a wicket during the net sessions and that's where he's picked up the celebration from. "Dale sir stands as the umpire in the nets when I am bowling. "When I take a wicket he does this (celebration). One day I also did that and it has since then become a habit," Malik told Bhuvi in the video posted on the IPL website. He further added that during SRH's net sessions Steyn has taught him a lot. "I have learnt a lot from him. If we are bowling for three hours in the nets, he'll keep standing … [Read more...] about IPL 2022: Most important thing when you are bowling at the death is to stay calm: Bhuvi tells Umran
Kapil Dev: India Will Produce Champions The Day Parents Give More Emphasis On Sports
New York: Cricket legend Kapil Dev feels the day Indian parents start giving more emphasis on sports, the country will produce more champions across disciplines. Kapil said the mentality of Indian parents towards sports has changed drastically over the years, but more needs to be done. Kapil made the remarks close on the heels of the Indian men’s badminton team’s historic Thomas Cup triumph on Sunday. “I feel (it’s) the parents, not the kids. We produce more doctors, scientists, and engineers in our country because parents want them to. The day parents want their kid to become a sportsperson, we will produce all champions,” Kapil said here on Tuesday. He was responding to a question by PTI on what changes he has witnessed in Indian sports over the years that are propelling the country’s sportspersons to excel in the international arena. Kapil was the guest of honour at a special event hosted by the Consulate General of India in New York as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ … [Read more...] about Kapil Dev: India Will Produce Champions The Day Parents Give More Emphasis On Sports
IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad: Tripathi, Umran help SRH remain in playoffs hunt
Umran Malik returned with 3/23 from his three overs while Bhuvneshwar proved he is still one of the best death overs bowlers in the business. Chasing 194, Mumbai Indians were off to a solid start as captain Rohit Sharma (48) and Ishan Kishan (43) shared an opening stand of 95 runs. But both the set batters were dismissed in quick succession and MI lost the plot in the middle overs. However, in-form Tim David's blitz brought the five-time champions into the game when he hammered four maximums in the 18th over bowled by T Natarajan but his run out on the final delivery of that over proved fatal for Mumbai. Tim David scored 46 off 18 and once again showcased his big-hitting prowess. But Bhuvneshwar's wicket maiden 19th over, turned the tides for SRH. In the 20th over Fazalhaq Faroozi had 19 runs to defend and he conceded only 16 to help his team emerge winners. Earlier in the day, Sunrisers posted 193/6 after being sent in to bat first. Rahul Tripathi - who slammed his third … [Read more...] about IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad: Tripathi, Umran help SRH remain in playoffs hunt

Ranking five must-see games on Cowboys 2022 schedule: Clashes with Tom Brady and Super Bowl teams top list
USATSI With the 2022 NFL schedule release now in the rearview, the Dallas Cowboys are flooring the accelerator toward minicamp and beyond, knowing who they'll face, where they'll face them and when it'll all go down. Their 17-game slate is one wrought with pitfalls they'll need to avoid, especially early on, needing to fly out of the gate if they're to establish any momentum that might carry them through the challenges of injury at certain positions and the inevitable loss or two birthed from controversial calls and/or non-calls -- as is often a part of the fabric every Cowboys season. With Dak Prescott now completely healthy and leading OTAs, and a very strong rookie class joining the fray as the calendar turns to June, the work has already begun. That work doesn't include defensive end Randy Gregory , All-Pro wide receiver Amari Cooper or former starting tackle La'el Collins , all of them having parted ways with the Cowboys in headline fashion . It's an … [Read more...] about Ranking five must-see games on Cowboys 2022 schedule: Clashes with Tom Brady and Super Bowl teams top list
In return to Yale, Nathan Chen goes back to his future – OlympicTalk | NBC Sports
When Nathan Chen returns to Yale late this summer after a two-year leave of absence, his housing arrangement will make Chen think he is going back to the future. “I feel like I’m a returning first-year,” said Chen, actually a rising junior. He has a room on Yale’s Old Campus, where the residence halls are primarily occupied by first-year students. It is where he lived the first time around after matriculating in the 2018-19 academic year. The difference this time is Chen also wants to feel present on campus in a way he could not during his first two years of college, when he jammed studies and an international figure skating career into days that seemed too short. He wants to find a fun extracurricular activity or two that aren’t related to skating. He wants to take guitar lessons. Chen, majoring in statistics and data science, wants to focus more on his classes, to “make sure the learning is truly, truly ingrained in me rather than trying to get quickly through it, just … [Read more...] about In return to Yale, Nathan Chen goes back to his future – OlympicTalk | NBC Sports
