The saga of Derrick Rose is one of the biggest NBA stories of the past decade — we thought he might be the Player of the Decade when it started. Young Rose was an unstoppable force, throwing his body around and absorbing contact while making plays for the Bulls. Rose was the 2011 NBA MVP and his future seemed limitless. Then in 2012 he tore his ACL. It was the first of a string of knee injuries that changed his career. Instead of owning the decade, Rose spent much of it in recovery from multiple surgeries that robbed him of his explosiveness, and he struggled without it. Rose had to put in the work to find and grow the craft in his game. In 2019, Derrick Rose is back. Almost. We’re never going to see 23-year-old Rose again, … [Read more...] about Three Things to Know: Derrick Rose is (almost) back, drains game-winner vs. Pelicans

In the superheavyweight (+91kg) category, Narender too was equally impressive as he cruised to a 5-0 victory over Nepal's Ashish Duwadi. Sparsh Kumar (52kg) was made to work hard for the gold by Pakistan's Syed Muhammad Asif. After a slow start, the Indian found his rhythm and landed a flurry of punches to emerge a 4-1 winner. And that's where this Pick Six will begin...Jimmy G comes up huge for the Niners The perception from our Sky Sports analysts in the studio on Sunday - and among many pundits and sage minds on the other side of the Atlantic - is that the San Francisco 49ers are beatable if you make Jimmy Garoppolo the one to try to beat you. That may sound harsh on Jimmy G but I don't think it's meant as a way to suggest he is a bad quarterback. I feel it is more of a reflection on how he is still growing as a passer, while the San Francisco running game and defense is proving to be top notch week in and week out. But Sunday night's win was a big, big moment for Garoppolo as he threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns. And he came up massive on a fourth down play … [Read more...] about Pick Six: The game of the year, the Jameis Winston Experience and why New England can be written off
