Wellington Firebirds have clinched their place in the final of the 2018-19 Ford Trophy by beating defending champions Auckland Aces by three wickets in the Elimination Final at Eden Park Outer Oval on Wednesday. The win, headlined by five wickets to Ollie Newton and an unbeaten career-best 120 from Jimmy Neesham , put Wellington in Saturday s Ford Trophy final against Otago Volts at University Oval in Dunedin. Chasing a target of 237 after Newton s 5/47 kept the Aces to 236 in 47.5 overs, Wellington won in 48.1 overs with Neesham hitting five sixes and 12 fours in his 107-ball hundred. Ed Orgeron has funny reaction to actor playing him in NBC series ‘Young Rock’
LSU Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron has quite the personality, and that has led him to making a cameo appearance -- sort of -- on an NBC’s Young Rock. which depicts the life of former football player, WWE superstar and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. From 1988-92, Orgeron was the defensive line coach at Miami, where Johnson played college football. Emmett Skilton plays Orgeron in the show, and hits the Cajun accent quite well. In an appearance on NFL Network Monday afternoon, Orgeron had a funny reaction to the clip. “(The actor) sent me an email and reading all of the work he’s done, even listening to my mother talk, I was very impressed with him. On the NBC television series “Young Rock,” which depicts the life of former football player, WWE superstar and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Orgeron makes a cameo. Well, sort of.
