After 13 games in the Pakistan Super League this year, 13 teams chasing have won, with the streak unbroken on Wednesday (March 3) thanks to half-centuries from Babar Azam and Mohammad Nabi for the Kings' third win. It wasn't smooth sailing though for Kings, who lost Sharjeel Khan off the first ball of the innings in the rather steep chase of 189. PSL 2021 by Cricbuzz Staff • Published on Share Tweet Usman Khan smashed a 50-ball 81 © PCB Quetta Gladiators finally managed to open their account on the points tally with a 22-run victory over Multan Sultans, successfully defending 176 for 7, courtesy Usman Khan's blinder upfront. Put in to bat first, Usman kicked off with a nine-run over and launched a flurry of boundaries to take the Gladiators to 55 without loss in the powerplay. He dominated the 69-run opening stand with Sain Ayub, who himself hit a couple of boundaries and a six in his 18-ball 23. Usman again dominated his 53-run partnership with Faf du Plessis (17), falling just 19 short of a hundred in the 14th over. It was Imran Tahir once again, getting Sultans the breakthrough. ICC T20I Rankings 2021: Virat Kohli Climbs to 6th Spot, KL Rahul Retains Second Position in Batsmen’s Tally
India captain Virat Kohli gained one spot to take the sixth spot, while opener KL Rahul maintained his second position in the latest ICC T20 International rankings for batsmen issued on Wednesday. With 816 rating points, Rahul is behind England’s Dawid Malan (915) who retained his top spot, while Kohli has 697 points. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam (801) moved up one place to third while Australia’s white-ball captain Aaron Finch (788) slipped to fourth place. South Africa’s Van der Dussen (700) also moved up a place to be fifth in the list.
