A student at Florida Atlantic University was arrested after he tweeted a threat to kill his professor for scheduling an exam at 7:00 a.m. “Bey i gern (expletive) kill dis professor bey this is my confession to a premeditated murder,” student Rafael Decomas allegedly wrote on Twitter last week.According to a local news story, Decomas claims that he didn’t actually intend to harm anyone. Despite his excuse, he now faces a charge of making written threats to kill or do bodily injury. He was released on bond from a Palm Beach County jail last week. In a statement, local police said that Decomas “was only reacting to the news that his final exam for Data Structure (instructed by Professor Carl Weiss) was scheduled to 0700 hours,” they said. “Decomas advised that he was upset at the news since he lives in Riviera Beach, and would need to wake up at 0500 hours.” Decomas claims that he deleted the tweet immediately after posting it. Now Florida Atlantic’s defensive coordinator, Pecoraro began his coaching career in 2003 at Florida State, just as legendary head coach Bobby Bowden was entering his final years with the Seminoles. Florida Atlantic defensive tackle Charles Cameron leaves program, will not play for Owls in 2018
BOCA RATON — One of Lane Kiffin’s top recruits from Florida Atlantic’s 2018 signing class is no longer with the program, as junior defensive tackle Charles Cameron announced via Twitter he is leaving FAU.“It is with great regret that I inform you of my decision to not continue my education at Florida Atlantic University,” Cameron wrote late Tuesday night. “I would like to thank the coaching staff, my teammates, staff members, students (sic) body and others who supported me. I would like to thank everyone for the help and support that I have received I wish you guys success on the season.” Cameron declined to comment when speaking to The Post on Wednesday morning. It is not known yet if Cameron will take the year off from football or attempt to transfer elsewhere.
