Commonwealth Games gold medallist wrestler Babita Phogat has joined the oversight committee formed to probe the various allegations against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Formed by the Sports Ministry, the oversight committee is carrying out an enquiry into the allegations of sexual misconduct, harassment, intimidation, financial irregularities and administrative lapses of the WFI and its chief. The allegations were levelled by prominent grapplers such as Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik and Ravi Dahiya. Leeds signed United States midfielder Weston McKennie on loan from Juventus until the end of the season on Monday. McKennie moved to the Premier League club for a reported 163;1 million pounds ($1.2 million) loan fee. The signing is subject to a work permit. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy suffered a torn UCL in his right elbow that will sideline him for the next six months, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. Purdy left in the first quarter of the San Francisco 49ers' NFC Championship Game Sunday at the Philadelphia Eagles with the injury. The 49ers officially gave Purdy a questionable designation to return while Josh Johnson entered the game. Purdy returned to the game early in the third quarter when Johnson appeared to suffer a head injury. Purdy suffered the injury while dropping back to pass and fumbling on the play.
