Why Dak Prescott will ‘win’ contract negotiation with Cowboys

· February 22, 2021 ·

The Dallas Cowboys dragged their feet and were unwilling to meet the demands of franchise player Dak Prescott during previous contract negotiations and for that, they're going to have to pay the piper according to former NFL executive and current ESPN analyst Mike Tannenbaum. Reports have surfaced that Dallas will use the tag on Prescott once again in 2021 if they cannot reach a deal with him and now, that franchise tag number has been made public. According to Spotrac, Prescott will receive $37.7 million if he is hit with the franchise tag in 2021. “It’s 40 million a year and nothing below that, because that’s what Deshaun Watson signed for and it’s three years of guaranteed money,” Tannenbaum said Monday on Get Up. “And you have to get the deal done ASAP because the cap is going down and that $37 million is taking a higher percentage of the cap. They need a massive amount of help on both sides of the ball. There’s a tremendous amount of pressure to get this deal done in … [Read more...] about Why Dak Prescott will ‘win’ contract negotiation with Cowboys

ISL 2020-21: Jamshedpur FC vs Bengaluru FC: Preview, Team News, Timings, Live Streaming Info

· February 24, 2021 ·

Goa, Feb 24: With their playoff hopes over and with one final game to go, Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC will be aiming to end the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) season on a winning note as they face each other at the Tilak Maidan Stadium, here on Thursday. While a draw would be enough for JFC to finish sixth, a defeat could see them lose their spot to Bengaluru. In the previous fixture, JFC stunned the Blues with Stephen Eze's goal separating the two sides. JFC Team News They would be hoping for more of the same and will certainly be riding high on confidence after derailing Mumbai City's hopes of grabbing the League Winners Shield, after a 2-0 win over the Islanders. ISL 2020-21: FC Goa firm up playoff hopes as Bengaluru FC bid goodbye

· February 21, 2021 ·

Results | Fixtures | Points Table Goa took a quickfire lead through Igor Angulo (20') and Redeem Tlang (23') before Suresh Wangjam (33') cut short Bengaluru's deficit. With the result, Goa not only consolidated their spot in the top four but are also now unbeaten in 12 games - matching their own record between 2014 and 2015 and Mumbai City's 12-game run this season. 1 2183425 BFC started the game brightly but a lapse in concentration from them saw Goa break the deadlock. Glan Martins dispossessed Erik Paartalu just outside the box before finding Angulo. The striker made his way into the box before burying his shot at the far post, leaving BFC keeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu with no chance. Just minutes later, Tlang doubled Goa's tally. After Rahul Bheke failed to clear a cross, Alexander Jesuraj got to the ball and flicked it towards the path of Tlang, who scored his first goal in Goa colours with a well-taken strike. Just when it looked like Goa were in the driving … [Read more...] about ISL 2020-21: FC Goa firm up playoff hopes as Bengaluru FC bid goodbye

World Test Championship: India leap to second spot; remain on course for WTC final

· February 16, 2021 ·

The victory in Chennai on Tuesday (February 16) has lifted India to the second position with 69.7 percent points on the table but they cannot afford to lose another match as they need to win 2-1 or 3-1 to qualify for the final of the maiden edition of the championship. England, who led the table after winning the opening Test, has slipped to the fourth spot with 67.0 percentage points. They can still qualify, but for that, they must win both remaining matches of the series against India. Indian bowlers produced a sublime performance on day four as England only managed to score 164 runs in their second innings. Courtney Lawes: England forward hopes to add Wales fly-half Dan Biggar to his list of big hits

· February 21, 2021 ·

Courtney Lawes will target Dan Biggar with a trademark big hit when England and Wales clash in the Six Nations. But he expects his Northampton team-mate to ride out even the fiercest challenges. Saints marked Lawes' 31st birthday on Tuesday by publishing a highlights reel of his most thunderous tackles and the forward hopes to produce more suitable material when he hunts down Biggar at the Principality Stadium on Saturday. Lawes is set to continue at blindside flanker armed with instructions to contain Wales' veteran fly-half. "I caught Dan the last time we played," said Lawes in reference to England's 33-30 victory at Twickenham in 2020 . "It was kind of the middle of a few bits, but he said he felt it so I was chuffed about that.
