LEICESTER – ARSENAL STREAM LIVE Brendan Rodgers’ side will be without four three starters and a pair of important reserves to face Arsenal, as James Maddison, Wesley Fofana, James Justin, Dennis Praet and Ayoze Perez have all been ruled out through injuries. None of the five appeared in Thursday’s shocking defeat to Czech side Slavia Prague , which sees Leicester exit the Europa League in the round of 32. Alas, the Foxes remain 3rd in the Premier League (level on points with second-place Manchester United) with a six-point between themselves and fifth-place Chelsea with 13 games left to play; even West Ham United, in 4th, are four points back. Rizwan, Maqsood star as Multan Sultans pick up first win
PSL 2021 by Cricbuzz Staff • Last updated on Share Tweet Rizwan led the chase with a 76. © AFP Led by half-centuries from Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Maqsood, Multan Sultans registered their first win of PSL 2021, beating Lahore Qalandars by 7 wickets. The duo stitched a 110-run stand for the third wicket to help their side ease past the 158-run target in only 16.2 overs. Put in to bat, Lahore lost their openers - Fakhar Zaman and Sohail Akhtar - early, which included a maiden-wicket over in the powerplay by Carlos Brathwaite. However, the in-form Mohammad Hafeez, yet again, bailed the team out from a precarious position, this time in company of Joe Denly. The duo put on an 89-run stand in only 9.1 overs, with Hafeez playing the aggressor. However, a couple of quick strikes, followed by Hafeez's run out on a 35-ball 60 further dented their innings. Samit Patel couldn't push the pace in the death overs, but his unbeaten … [Read more...] about Rizwan, Maqsood star as Multan Sultans pick up first win
Premier League Fantasy Picks: Rashford, Kane and Vardy backed to shine
Pep Guardiola's men are 10 points clear at the summit and two of their players feature among our Opta-fuelled fantasy picks, along with a couple of Everton men on the back of last week's long-awaited derby win at Liverpool. Manchester United, Tottenham and Leicester City players are also selected ahead of games against Chelsea, Burnley and Arsenal respectively. EDERSON There are many factors behind the leaders' winning run - not least an incredible defensive record, with goalkeeper Ederson more than playing his part. The Brazil international has kept 15 clean sheets from 24 Premier League games this term, averaging one every 1.6 matches. Only two keepers to have played at least 10 times have averaged fewer games per clean sheet across an entire season - Chelsea's Petr Cech (24 in 35 apps in 2004-05) and former Manchester United stopper Edwin van der Sar (21 in 33 apps in 2008-09). 24 - Manchester City have kept 24 clean sheets in all competitions this season - one more … [Read more...] about Premier League Fantasy Picks: Rashford, Kane and Vardy backed to shine
Friday 5: Studious Kyle Larson looks to ‘finally close one out’ at Miami
Kyle Larson can’t wait for Sunday’s Cup race. And it’s not because Homestead-Miami Speedway is among his best tracks. He just wants to be back in the car. “These weeks are long,” Larson told NBC Sports. While most drivers have become acclimated to no practice and qualifying at most NASCAR events, it is new to Larson, who missed the final 32 Cup races last season after losing his ride at Chip Ganassi Racing . With less time in the car, he has spent more time on race preparation. Still, a racer wants to race. “It’s been probably since 2009 or ’08 or even before that where I’ve only been in a race car one day a week,” Larson said. “If I’m only racing one day a week with NASCAR, you’re usually in the car practicing for a couple of days. They’ve been long weeks waiting for the weekends. Just ready to get down to Florida and hopefully have a good weekend at one of my best tracks and lead some laps and finally close one out.” In 14 races across the Cup, Xfinity and … [Read more...] about Friday 5: Studious Kyle Larson looks to ‘finally close one out’ at Miami
Jayson Tatum looking forward to future with Celtics, even as they stumble
Jayson Tatum joined a Celtics team brimming with possibility. Boston had just become the first playoff team to win the lottery . Even beyond a roster good enough to make the Eastern Conference finals and the No. 1 pick, the Celtics had a treasure trove of assets and flexibility. By trading down for Tatum, Boston got the draft’s best player and another valuable-looking pick. The Celtics, it seemed, could contend for championships for the next decade. Nearly four years later, Boston is 15-17, expensive and devoid of extra first-round picks. Suddenly, it’s time to do what we do with stars on losing teams – speculate about their future. It’s now even more conspicuous Tatum negotiated a 2025 player option into his max rookie-scale extension last offseason. “Obviously, I don’t want to leave Boston,” Tatum said. “I don’t have any intentions on that. It’s just more of a flexibility thing. But I love being here. I love this organization. I love the city. So, I don’t want people … [Read more...] about Jayson Tatum looking forward to future with Celtics, even as they stumble
