The New York Jets look to add a proven quarterback this offseason, and CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones reports the Jets have their eyes on three veterans . While pursuing a trade for the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers has been a popular speculation, Jones also added Jimmy Garoppolo and Derek Carr to the Jets’ search process. Garoppolo will be an unrestricted free agent, meaning the Jets wouldn’t have to trade for him, while Rodgers and Carr would force New York to part ways with assets. “They won’t limit their search to just those three quarterbacks — and sources stress it’s still early in the process — but that’s where the focus will be begin,” Jones wrote. For the second time in three seasons, the New England Patriots found themselves on the outside looking in on the postseason.
