Ramirez The Detroit News Published 1:36 PM EDT Apr 9, 2019 Madison Heights — Police are asking the public for help to identify a man who tried to entice an 8-year-old girl into his car by offering her candy, officials said. The incident happened at about 4 p.m. Friday in the area of 12 Mile and John R., according to officials. Police said the man approached the girl who was walking in the area and offered her candy if she got into his car. The girl refused and the man drove off, they said. The driver is described as a man, 40-50 years old, bald head, eyeglasses and a heavy accent. He was driving a newer, silver Nissan Altima with tinted windows. A 32-year-old Providence man wanted in connection to the kidnapping of Jassy Correia, 23, was arrested in Delaware, Boston police said in a statement. “Louis D. Coleman III has been located and placed under arrest in Delaware,” police said shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday. “A body has been recovered and we are awaiting a positive identification at this time. The cause and manner of death are pending. This remains an active and ongoing, multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional investigation. Additional information will be provided when available.” Delaware Online reported that Delaware State Police spotted Coleman’s vehicle at about 2 p.m. Thursday and — after a brief pursuit — pulled it over on Interstate 95 in Stanton. Jassy Correia was seen with an unknown man near 255 Tremont St. around 12:15 a.m., after leaving Venu, according to police. Correia later got into a car, believed to be a red Nissan Altima, with the same man near Tremont and Herald streets, police said. Capelouto, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Two men were killed and two were injured in a car crash on Moreland Avenue early Sunday morning, officials said.According to a DeKalb County police incident report, a Ford Escape was traveling south on Moreland near the intersection with Key Road, which is on the border of DeKalb and southeast Atlanta. About 12:30 a.m., the Ford “left its lane” and crossed into the northbound lane, where it struck a Nissan Altima head-on, according to the report.Both drivers were killed, and two passengers in the Ford were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.The Ford driver was identified as 29-year-old Samuel Bailey of McDonough, and the driver of the Nissan was 56-year-old Marvin Burley of Atlanta, according to the report.
