The Extreme E team formed by Andretti Autosport and United Autosports named Catie Munnings and Timmy Hansen as its drivers Monday for the series’ inaugural 2021 season. Munnings is a successful veteran of rally series. Hansen is a past winner and champion in the World Rallycross Championship. They both will race in the environmentally conscious electric SUV series that will hold events in five areas around the world that are threatened by climate change. Chip Ganassi Racing and six-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton also are fielding cars in Extreme E, which will feature male and female co-drivers on every team. “I’m so excited to join Andretti United Extreme E,” Munnings said in a release. ““I was really intrigued when I first heard about Extreme E, I just knew I had to be involved. Coastal Carolina's Jamey Chadwell has been named AP college coach of the year . Chadwell led the Chanticleers to an 11-1 season that featured ranked wins over the likes of Louisiana and BYU. Indiana's Tom Allen finished second in the voting, while Cincinnati's Luke Fickell finished third. Chadwell began his tenure at Coastal Carolina in 2017 as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, but would later be promoted to interim head coach while then-head coach Joe Moglia had a medical leave of absence. He was then named the full-time head coach in 2019. In all, Chadwell has a 19-17 record as head coach of the Chanticleers, but is 16-8 since being named the full-time head coach in 2019. He has not lost a regular season game since November 23, 2019, when Coastal Carolina lost to UL Monroe by three points. The USMNT have submitted their provisional roster for Olympic qualifying next month, and it is absolutely stacked with young U.S. talent. Players born on or after Jan. 1, 1997 are eligible to compete in the tournament, which is essentially a under 24 tournament. Brenden Aaronson, Ulysses Llanez, Konrad de la Fuente and Bryan Reynolds are some of the big name players included on the USMNT roster. One major note: LA Galaxy star Efrain Alvarez, 18, has been named in the preliminary rosters of both the USMNT and Mexico, as he still hasn’t selected who he wants to represent at international level. Former India captain Kapil Dev gave his opinion of changing the name of the Motera Stadium to Narendra Modi Stadium. Ahead of the third Test match between India and England, Home Minister Amit Shah announced that the venue is being renamed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The decision was announced as President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday inaugurated the venue which can accommodate around 1,32,000 spectators for a live event. The 1983 World Cup-winning captain said that the game should move forward as the PM also pays attention to cricket. “When there are so many things in the country, despite this, the Prime Minister also pays attention to cricket. So that’s good from the perspective of the game, we will say that the game should move forward.
