Thompson was appointed as the new head coach of Schwenninger Wild Wings on Thursday - making him the first Brit to ever coach at the highest level in Germany. Tomlin, a 6-foot, 163-pound receiver, is the son of Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and nephew of former Maryland football player Ed Tomlin.
