Getty Images Arsenal's visit to Manchester City serves as the highlight of the FA Cup fourth round weekend but in truth it may serve as little more than an appetizer for their tussle at the top of the Premier League. The Gunners hold a five-point lead over Pep Guardiola's side, who they will face at the Emirates Stadium on Feb. 15, and a win in the cup could give them the belief to hold out at the top of the table. City have not beaten Arsenal, the most successful club in the competition's history, in the FA Cup since 1904 and were beaten 2-0 in the 2020 semifinal. However, that was a rare victory for Mikel Arteta over his former boss. Guardiola has not lost a Premier League meeting with Arsenal. Here is how you can watch the match and what you need to know: Viewing information Date: Friday, Jan. 27 | Time: 3 p.m. ET Location: Etihad Stadium -- Manchester, United Kingdom Live stream: ESPN+ Odds: Manchester City -138; Draw +275; Arsenal +290 (via Caesars … [Read more...] about Manchester City vs. Arsenal live stream: FA Cup prediction, TV channel, how to watch online, start time

With a sparkling stadium and surging program, San Diego State makes an easy case for Pac-12 expansion
Derrick Tuskan, SDSU Athletics SAN DIEGO -- J.D. Wicker is standing on the top concourse of one of the biggest parties in the country. What else would you call San Diego State's new stadium, which equates to the latest lob pass for what the school hopes is a slam-dunk entry into the Pac-12? On its best day, which projects to be every game day , college football is almost a sideshow in new Snapdragon Stadium. The main event is the craft brew-infused vibe that San Diego State's athletic director has, well, crafted. "There's more bars in that stadium than there are in most cities," said Aztecs coach Brady Hoke. That isn't entirely why San Diego State enters 2023 as the next hottest realignment candidate, but elite concessions certainly do not hurt. Taps or no taps, Wicker's vision of a 35,000-seat boutique stadium reflecting the city's culture, history, food and brew -- built on one of the country's most expensive pieces of real estate -- was going up regardless. … [Read more...] about With a sparkling stadium and surging program, San Diego State makes an easy case for Pac-12 expansion

LOOK: College basketball game stopped after fake delivery man walks onto court in apparent prank
A food delivery gone wrong that briefly caused a stoppage in Wednesday night's Loyola Chicago vs. Duquesne game may not have been the accidental moment of hilarity it initially appeared. A delivery man, who walked right onto the court and into the center of action almost as if he was a part of the team, nearly collided with players in the corner as he was seemingly preparing to deliver to a customer. On its face, it appeared that a delivery man had an oopsie captured on live television that briefly disrupted a Division I game in the Atlantic 10. Even the announcers were taken aback. "Somebody came on the floor on the far side," said the TV commentary team . "I think that's an Uber Eats sticker [on the bag]. Uber Eats, yes! Was he going to deliver McDonald's to someone on the court?" Multiple people inside the building in Pittsburgh on hand for the game tweeted on social media that, indeed, it was an Uber Eats delivery person. The commentary is excellent hahaha … [Read more...] about LOOK: College basketball game stopped after fake delivery man walks onto court in apparent prank
Usain Bolt situation explained: Olympic legend is missing $12.7 million in alleged fraud scheme
Getty Images Olympic legend Usain Bolt has lost over $12.7 million from his bank account with the Jamaican private investment firm Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL), according to his lawyers . The FBI is officially involved in the investigation. SSL is currently under surveillance, as the eight-time Olympic gold medalists is one of over 30 alleged victims affected. The sprinter, who was left with $12,000, opened the account in 2012 and has not withdrawn or transferred any money since. The account was intended to serve as a pension for the athlete and his parents, Bolt's attorney. Linton Gordon, told Reuters . In a letter written to SSL on Jan. 16, Gordon threatened legal action if his client's money was not restored within 10 days. According to a report by Loop Jamaica news , the company's total alleged fraud is estimated at $3 billion, and SSL has reported that it only has $1 million in insurance for the investments it managed. As of Jan. 17, Jamaica's Financial … [Read more...] about Usain Bolt situation explained: Olympic legend is missing $12.7 million in alleged fraud scheme
Aaron Rodgers links his current villain status to Big Pharma – ProFootballTalk
Getty Images As it turns out, the argument that Damar Hamlin secretly died and was replaced by a double on Sunday wasn’t the craziest shit I heard today. Thanks to Jimmy Traina of SI.com, who listened to Tuesday’s musings from Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers so that others (like me) wouldn’t have to, Rodgers suggested at one point that the negative coverage he has received in recent months flows directly from Big Pharma . Specifically, Rodgers tied negativity directed to him to media sponsored by the three providers of the COVID vaccine, given that Rodgers refused to get one — and then lied about it. “If you take the right sound bite from the right thing and it’s a station that may or may not have in the past been brought to you by Pfizer they gotta make sure their villain gets cast in the correct light,” Rodgers told Pat McAfee and A.J. Hawk on Tuesday. “And whether or not they’re sponsored by Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson, whatever it might be, when … [Read more...] about Aaron Rodgers links his current villain status to Big Pharma – ProFootballTalk
Crazy, disturbing Damar Hamlin conspiracy theory emerges – ProFootballTalk
Getty Images In many respects, the modern world has lost its damn mind. Conspiracy theories abound, over anything. Over everything. And it was unavoidable, we suppose, that some nutty conspiracy theory would emerge regarding Bills safety Damar Hamlin . Our original plan was to ignore it. To give it no attention, no credence, no oxygen. Sometimes, however, it’s important for the rational to expose the irrational, so that some of the rational aren’t tempted to swallow the crazy-ass cheese. As it relates to Hamlin, there’s actually a theory — completed unsupported by a shred of evidence — that Hamlin died from the COVID vaccine and that he has been replaced by a body double . Think about that one. The person who attended Sunday’s game between the Bengals and Bills isn’t Damar Hamlin. It’s someone else, disguised as Damar Hamlin. And, presumably, his family and his teammates are in on it. It made for an interesting premise in the movie Dave . It makes for an … [Read more...] about Crazy, disturbing Damar Hamlin conspiracy theory emerges – ProFootballTalk
Bronny James recruitment: Ranking the best college basketball fits for LeBron James’ son
Getty Images The most famous recruit in the Class of 2023 also stands as the last uncommitted prospect. Four-star Bronny James, the eldest son of Lakers star LeBron James, is still deciding where he will take his talents next season (though, to be clear, South Beach has been ruled out). Bronny is reportedly down to a final three of Ohio State , Oregon and USC , each of which offers something unique to him and his prospects of developing into a future NBA player. Ranked No. 34 in his class, it's no sure thing he'll have a path straight to the pros, much less as a one-and-done. However, his development in recent months suggests his high IQ, selfless play and shooting ability from the guard spot has at least positioned him to join his father in the NBA. So where will he land after his high school career at Sierra Canyon comes to an end? Which finalists are in the best position to secure his commitment? Let's dive a little deeper below into his options with a look at … [Read more...] about Bronny James recruitment: Ranking the best college basketball fits for LeBron James’ son

Patrick Mahomes ankle injury: Chiefs QB to practice again Thursday, ‘on track’ for AFC Championship Game
Getty Images Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will practice again Thursday after he was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, according to head coach Andy Reid -- making it seem as though the 2022 All-Pro quarterback won't be very limited in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. "He felt good in the walkthrough," Reid said of Mahomes on Thursday, ahead of the practice session. "He's on track." Reid thought Mahomes did a "nice job" in practice Wednesday and felt comfortable with what was being asked of him. Mahomes felt he had a good day as well, even saying he felt "probably better than I expected." Overall, it's been a positive 24 hours for Mahomes, who left his press conference Wednesday without either a walking boot or a noticeable limp . "I still feel like I can do a lot of things," Mahomes said Thursday.
