The KL Rahul -led Lucknow Super Giants' Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 campaign ended on Wednesday as his team lost the Eliminator to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Chasing a target of 208, LSG looked on track in the chase until the time Rahul was at the crease. The LSG skipper scored 79 off 58 balls at a strike-rate of 136.20. He fell in the 19th over and then his team fell short by 14 runs. Sanjay Manjrekar , former Indian cricket team player, was not impressed about the speed with which batter scored. Rahul, who is also the India captain for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa, has not had a strike-rate of 140 or more in the last four editions of the IPL. "KL Rahul's innings is something that we've seen before when he was captaining Punjab Kings, for example, [and they] would fall short of a run-chase," Manjrekar told Cricinfo . "The scenario would be the same. You'll have KL Rahul batting right till the very end, they would have lost three or four wickets and … [Read more...] about IPL 2022 – Needs To Bat “Quicker Rather Than Longer”: Sanjay Manjrekar On KL Rahul’s Knock vs RCB In Eliminator | Cricket News

Real Madrid Remain Europe’s Most Valuable Football Club: Report | Football News
Real Madrid remain Europe's most valuable football club despite the ever-increasing dominance of the English Premier League, according to two reports by analysts published Thursday. The Football Benchmark report, which ranks Europe's 32 most prominent clubs on their value based on their annual financial statements and assessing squad values, put Real top with a valuation of 3.184 billion euros ($3.4 billion). Real, who face Liverpool in Saturday's Champions League final, came out on top for the fourth consecutive year of the report. That is still short of their valuation in 2020, just before the pandemic, of nearly 3.5 billion euros, although the report points out that they were one of few clubs to register a net profit in both seasons impacted by the pandemic. In a separate study, Forbes also ranked Real top but with a valuation of $5.1 billion. "Real Madrid have extended their lead at the top due to continuous sporting and commercial success," said the Football Benchmark … [Read more...] about Real Madrid Remain Europe’s Most Valuable Football Club: Report | Football News
Asia Cup Hockey: India Beat Indonesia 16-0, Qualify For Super 4s | Hockey News
Rising to the occasion, Indian men's hockey team slammed six goals in the final quarter for a crushing 16-0 victory against Indonesia, a result that took the holders into the knockout stage of the Asia Cup but shut the World Cup door on Pakistan in Jakarta on Thursday. India needed to win the Pool A contest by at least a 15-0 margin to qualify and the young players of the side delivered under pressure. Both India and Pakistan finished on four points each in Pool A behind Japan but the defending champions qualified for the Super 4s due to better goal difference (1). Pakistan had lost 2-3 to Japan earlier in the day. The result not only pushed Pakistan out of the tournament but also dashed their hopes of World Cup qualification since only the top three teams here will be given tickets for the big event. India, being the hosts, will play the World Cup later in the year and hence Hockey India decided to send young players to this tournament for exposure. Dipsan Tirkey (5 goals) and … [Read more...] about Asia Cup Hockey: India Beat Indonesia 16-0, Qualify For Super 4s | Hockey News
