The KL Rahul -led Lucknow Super Giants' Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 campaign ended on Wednesday as his team lost the Eliminator to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Chasing a target of 208, LSG looked on track in the chase until the time Rahul was at the crease. The LSG skipper scored 79 off 58 balls at a strike-rate of 136.20. He fell in the 19th over and then his team fell short by 14 runs. Sanjay Manjrekar , former Indian cricket team player, was not impressed about the speed with which batter scored. Rahul, who is also the India captain for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa, has not had a strike-rate of 140 or more in the last four editions of the IPL. "KL Rahul's innings is something that we've seen before when he was captaining Punjab Kings, for example, [and they] would fall short of a run-chase," Manjrekar told Cricinfo . "The scenario would be the same. You'll have KL Rahul batting right till the very end, they would have lost three or four wickets and … [Read more...] about IPL 2022 – Needs To Bat “Quicker Rather Than Longer”: Sanjay Manjrekar On KL Rahul’s Knock vs RCB In Eliminator | Cricket News

IPL 2022: Wanindu Hasaranga’s Catch Against LSG Not Legal Due to Law 33.3
New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore held their nerves right at the very end to clinch an emphatic 14-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday at Eden Gardens to book a Qualifier 2 date with Rajasthan Royals. Rajat Patidar was unstoppable yesterday night as he was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his match winning performance of 112 off 54 balls. Apart from Patidar’s contribution, Wanindu Hasaranga was excellent in the field as he gave his 100% and saved valuable runs for his team. But there was one incident of the match, when the Sri Lankan got hold of a catch at the boundary line but the catch wasn’t given. The match was into the 3rd ball of the 10th over, where Hasaranga at the boundary line almost plucked out the catch of the tournament. The fielder covered wonderfully to slide and take it to his right. Then when he thought he will slide into the cushion, he flicked the ball up, hoping to get a teammate nearby and the ball eventually lands inside. NFC South burning questions for 2022: Tom Brady lands his eighth ring? Baker Mayfield to the Panthers?
USATSI In one of the weirdest NFL offseasons in history, the NFC South helped put on a show. Tom Brady retired only to quickly unretire, and Matt Ryan is no longer with the Atlanta Falcons -- the franchise legend traded away to the Indianapolis Colts. The Carolina Panthers are in on trading for Baker Mayfield, but then they're not, but then they are again (maybe, kinda, sorta?), and the New Orleans Saints are entering their first season without Sean Payton as head coach since the 2006 season (his "Bountygate" suspension in 2012 notwithstanding) when he and Drew Brees began their reign over the division. Add to this the fact Bruce Arians decided to give the keys to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaching castle to his defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles, and it's not difficult to see just how much upheaval has occurred in what is often one of the most competitive divisions in all of football. But with so much change comes an equal or greater number of questions, and while there are … [Read more...] about NFC South burning questions for 2022: Tom Brady lands his eighth ring? Led by Jaylen Brown (25 points, four rebounds) and Jayson Tatum (22 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists), Boston pulled out a 93-80 victory to take a 3-2 lead in the series and push Miami to the brink of elimination. The Heat actually led the game at halftime, but the Celtics completely flipped the script over the final 24 minutes of action and outplayed Miami on both ends of the floor to close out the contest. In addition to Brown and Tatum, Boston also got some big-time contributions from Al Horford, who had 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Derrick White (14 points, five assists). Now, the Celtics sit just one win away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 2010. Boston will look to close out the series in front of their home crowd in Game 6 on Friday night, while the Heat will look to bounce back, extend … [Read more...] about Celtics-Heat score, takeaways: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum take over the second half in Boston’s Game 5 win
French Open 2022: Rafael Nadal is still battling ‘chronic’ foot injury, will bring doctor to Roland Garros
Getty Images The 2022 French Open begins in less than two weeks, giving Rafael Nadal -- who's won the tournament a record 13 times -- a chance to add a 22nd Grand Slam title. A nagging foot injury, however, could make this trip to Roland Garros more arduous than usual for the world's No. 4 ranked men's singles player. Nadal, who looked rejuvenated when he won the Australian Open in January , is still battling the chronic foot pain that forced him to miss extended time last season. The 35-year-old first sustained the injury in 2005 , and it reared its head most recently and glaringly in his third-round loss to Denis Shapovalov at the Italian Open on Thursday. "Unfortunately, my day-by-day is difficult, honestly," Nadal said after the match , per CNN. "Even like this, I am trying hard ... it can be frustrating that a lot of days I can't practice the proper way." Nadal described himself as a "player living with an injury" after the Shapovalov match. He expressed a … [Read more...] about French Open 2022: Rafael Nadal is still battling ‘chronic’ foot injury, will bring doctor to Roland Garros
2022 French Open men’s odds, picks, predictions: Proven tennis expert fading Rafael Nadal in futures bets
USATSI Emerging star Carlos Alcaraz is one of the main contenders for the 2022 French Open, which starts Sunday in Paris, and if he wins his first Grand Slam, he will definitely have earned it. The 19-year-old has won in Miami, Barcelona and Madrid this season, and he is on a crash course with superstardom. He is on the tough side of a lopsided draw and will have to get through defending champion Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, a 13-time winner at Roland Garros, among others. Djokovic is trying to match Nadal's record 21 Grand Slam titles, a number the Spaniard achieved at the Australian Open in January. But the French Open has seen a lot of young winners, including Nadal just after his 19th birthday in 2005, and Michael Chang, Mats Wilander and Bjorn Borg when they were younger than Alcaraz is now. The 2022 French Open wraps up June 5 in Paris, and Djokovic is the +200 favorite to raise the trophy in Caesars Sportsbook's latest 2022 French Open odds. Alcaraz is next on the … [Read more...] about 2022 French Open men’s odds, picks, predictions: Proven tennis expert fading Rafael Nadal in futures bets

United States tennis legend John McEnroe was in the booth to help call the match for Eurosport and weighed in on the crowd's reaction towards Djokovic. "Are you kidding me?" said McEnroe. "Why would they boo that? He's trying too hard, let's boo him." Just a short time later, Djokovic celebrated in a similar manner and the crowd chose to boo him once again. 2022 French Open: Naomi Osaka returns to Roland Garros, still a bit worried but ready to handle the atmosphere
Getty Images A year after withdrawing from the French Open to take care of her mental health, Naomi Osaka is back in Paris and ready to tackle the challenges ahead. Osaka took a big step forward on Friday when she took part in a press conference ahead of this weekend's competition. "For the most part, I think I'm OK," she said. Last year, the former world No. 1 said that she experienced a "huge waves of anxiety" talking to the media. After winning the first round, she stopped fulfilling her media duties and was hit with a $15,000 fine. She then pulled out of the tournament. The mental health issues didn't just appear in 2021. She also explained she has social anxiety, which is the reason why that often wears headphones during tournaments. During Friday's press conference, Osaka admitted that there are a few things that are a bit worrisome in her return, but that she … [Read more...] about 2022 French Open: Naomi Osaka returns to Roland Garros, still a bit worried but ready to handle the atmosphere
