Report: Big Ten men’s basketball tournament to move from Chicago to Indianapolis

The NCAA is doing everything it can to ensure there’s a men’s national basketball tournament this year after the COVID-19 pandemic wiped out the 2020 one. The organization decided to centralize all tournament games in one city — Indianapolis — to alleviate virus concerns that come with travel. For that reason, the Big Ten will move its men's basketball tournament from Chicago to Indianapolis. Anthony Calhoun of WISH-TV was first to report the news. Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com, and WTHR confirmed the report. The Big Ten Tournament is currently scheduled for March 10-14. The NCAA Tournament willtip-off Thursday, March 18, with the First Four games. The first-round action will follow Saturday, March 19, and Sunday, March 20, with the second-round scheduled for Monday, March 21, and Tuesday, March 22. The entire tournament will be held in Indiana, with 55 out of 67 games taking place in Indianapolis.
