New Delhi, March 8: Putting an end to days of speculations, the IPL Governing Council announced the schedule and venues for IPL 2021. The home-grown domestic T20 tournament will begin on April 9 this year with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The IPL 2021 will have 56 league games across six venues in India with Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru to host 10 matches each while Ahmedabad and Delhi will host 8 matches each.
