The Cleveland Browns face off with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football, the playoff edition. The last time the Browns made the playoffs was the 2002 season, 18 years ago. Somehow, despite the lack of winning, the Browns continue to have the most dedicated fans in the NFL. Somehow, 2002 seems like "forever ago" while also feeling like "there is no way 2002 was THAT long ago!" For some Browns fans, 2002 is a year they can't even remember while for others it was just another year of their adult life, just the rare one where the Browns were winning. Our partners at CBS Sports shared some of the interesting tidbits from what life was like in 2002: Top movie "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" was the number one film in the United States for the weekend of Jan. 5, 2003. Top song "Lose Yourself" by Eminem stood at No. 1 in early January 2003. Picking the best high school football team of all-time across every state
Best all-time high school football team from each state 45,133 views 10:02 When it comes to determining the greatest team of all-time from each state, the recent offerings from Mater Dei (Santa Ana) and St. John Bosco (Bellflower) certainly come into consideration for California. Any discussion about the greatest teams in the Golden State, however, has to begin with De La Salle (Concord). The only question: Which Spartan team do you pick?De La Salle was named national champion seven times, including four in a row between 2000 and 2003. However, MaxPreps chose the 2001 team because it best exemplified the four pillars that we determined mark greatness — dominance, consistency, efficiency and leadership. We used national rankings to determine dominance, win streaks and state-title streaks to measure consistency, offensive/defensive point totals to mark efficiency and head coaching prowess to measure leadership. The 2001 De La Salle team is just one of example of 50 all-time … [Read more...] about Picking the best high school football team of all-time across every state

It’s looking bleak for Van de Beek as Fernandes keeps Manchester United on trophy track
The eye-catching selection of Van de Beek ahead of Fernandes for this FA Cup clash of giants at Old Trafford was all about "rotation", according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. A 66th-minute switch of the Portuguese for the underwhelming Van de Beek proved pivotal, and the delightful free-kick from Fernandes that settled an absorbing game 3-2 in United's favour was one that had been conceived on Saturday. "I think he stayed about 45 minutes after training yesterday shooting free-kicks, so I was quite … [Read more...] about It’s looking bleak for Van de Beek as Fernandes keeps Manchester United on trophy track
