Lions’ D’Andre Swift wants to become just the fourth player in NFL history to accomplish this feat in 2022
USATSI No Lions player received more scrutiny than D'Andre Swift during the team's second appearance on HBO's "Hard Knocks" Tuesday night. But don't tell that to the third-year running back, whose miscues repeatedly frustrated assistant head coach Duce Staley. Forecasting the upcoming 2022 season, Swift told the Lions' official website Wednesday that his goal for this year is to log 1,000 yards rushing and receiving -- a feat that's only been accomplished three times in league history. D'Andre Swift DET • RB • 32 Att 151 Yds 617 TD 5 FL 1 View Profile Swift specifically cited Staley, also the team's running backs coach, as a reason he believes he can pull off the gaudy production. Staley, for what it's worth, had lots of high praise for Swift's upside during "Hard Knocks," saying the former second-round pick has the talent to be the best ball-carrier in the NFL . Russell Wilson to Denver Broncos ‘is Wisconsin all over again,’ source tells NFL insider
As he did for the 2011 college football season when transferring to Wisconsin from NC State and winning the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is looking to elevate his new squad in Year 1 after coming over in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks this spring. Wilson spent one season at Wisconsin and became a Big Ten champion before playing his final collegiate game in the Rose Bowl. “This is Wisconsin all over again,” a source familiar with Wilson’s career said, via ProFootballTalk. During that season, Wilson had a completion rate of 72.8% and passed for 3,175 yards with 33 touchdowns to just four interceptions, which gave him an efficiency rating of 191.8. Prior to the transfer, Wilson was a star at NC State, but the production was not as great. Wilson threw 76 touchdown passes to 26 interceptions in his three seasons with the Wolfpack. Wilson’s work ethic has been on display since his arrival in Denver, attracting the … [Read more...] about Russell Wilson to Denver Broncos ‘is Wisconsin all over again,’ source tells NFL insider
Baltimore Ravens’ John Harbaugh: Kyle Hamilton ‘doing great’ following NFL preseason debut
Baltimore Ravens rookie safety Kyle Hamilton drew praise from coach John Harbaugh after making his NFL debut during Thursday's 23-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Days after Hamilton recovered a fumble and finished with a tackle, Harbaugh pointed out that, rather than going against fellow rookie teammate Isaiah Likely in practice, Hamilton was able to go full speed. “He’s doing great, he’s doing fine,” Harbaugh said to reporters. “... He’s not gonna go take Isaiah Likely down in a competitive ball drill here in 1 on 1’s – we appreciate that ... but Kyle’s been right there, he’s doing a good job, he’s playing well. Thought he had a good game. Some things to clean up like all the guys but he had a really good game.” Preseason aside, Hamilton gushed about playing in his first game amongst the NFL ranks. The first-round pick praised Baltimore fans while doing so. "It's surreal," Hamilton said . "I mean, no matter how many people are here, Baltimore's … [Read more...] about Baltimore Ravens’ John Harbaugh: Kyle Hamilton ‘doing great’ following NFL preseason debut

NBA schedule: LeBron vs. Curry on opening night, Ben Simmons’ Philly return among 10 early matchups to circle
Getty Images The 2022-23 NBA schedule was released on Wednesday (what portion of it wasn't previously leaked, anyway), and naturally, we're all running through it circling the matchups that stick out. Here are 10 to mark on your calendar through the first six weeks. 1. Lakers at Warriors (October 18) Opening night. LeBron James will watch Stephen Curry receive his fourth championship ring, matching his own total. The race to No. 5 is on, and Curry, in charge of another title-contenting roster, has the upper hand at getting it. If the Lakers have Kyrie Irving by this point, this becomes a headline matchup for reasons other than Curry vs. James; this will be two championship contenders squaring off with all the intrigue of a revamped Lakers roster and the Kyrie-LeBron reunion. 2. Pelicans at Nets (October 19) The opener for both teams, and it's a must-watch for a handful of reasons. Presumably, it will mark Zion Williamson's return to the court. India vs Zimbabwe, 1st ODI: When And Where To Watch Live Telecast, Live Streaming | Cricket News
Skipper KL Rahul 's form and fitness will be observed keenly when India take on Zimbabwe in a three-match series, starting Thursday, in 50-over format, which is fast losing popularity and struggling to retain its identity. Supposed to be one of the most vital cogs in India's T20 World Cup top-order, Rahul would like to make full use of the game time he gets as an opener during the three games against Regis Chakabva 's side. Rahul's immediate task at hand after a two-month lay-off, during which he underwent a sports hernia surgery, is to keep his opening slot in T20 cricket and adapt to the team's philosophy of going hell for leather from ball one. It won't just be about runs that skipper Rohit Sharma or coach Rahul Dravid would be looking at when they monitor Rahul's performance in Zimbabwe.
