Urban Meyer says the Nebraska coaching job is one of college football's best because of the Huskers fanbase. The former Ohio State and Florida head coach believes the next man to fill the position must focus on bringing the program back to being player development-focused. Fans chanted Meyer's name Saturday during FOX Sports' Big Noon Kickoff pregame show before the former coach spoke highly of the program. However, that is exactly how Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh turned things around in Ann Arbor. Nebraska needs a new football coach after firing Scott Frost last Sunday, and at least some of the Huskers' fanbase appears to want Urban Meyer . Before Saturday's game between Nebraska and Oklahoma in Lincoln, Nebraska, Huskers fans chanted "we want Urban" when FOX's Big Noon Kickoff pregame show started. As Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart pumped up the crowd out of Memorial Stadium, alongside Brady Quinn and Rob Stone, Nebraska fans grew loud over Meyer. Below is a video of the exchange. Nebraska contacted former Ohio State and Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer regarding its coaching search, according to CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd . Meyer is 187-32 in his college coaching career, winning two national titles at Florida and one at Ohio State.
