The New York Jets look to add a proven quarterback this offseason, and CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones reports the Jets have their eyes on three veterans . While pursuing a trade for the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers has been a popular speculation, Jones also added Jimmy Garoppolo and Derek Carr to the Jets’ search process. Garoppolo will be an unrestricted free agent, meaning the Jets wouldn’t have to trade for him, while Rodgers and Carr would force New York to part ways with assets. “They won’t limit their search to just those three quarterbacks — and sources stress it’s still early in the process — but that’s where the focus will be begin,” Jones wrote. Buzz surrounding a Rodgers effort intensified when the Jets hired Nathaniel Hackett as offensive coordinator. "The quarterback position with all the different interviews was the No. 1 concern, and rightfully so and it was simple," Jets head coach Robert Saleh said at a press conference Thursday. … [Read more...] about New York Jets have eyes on veteran QBs Aaron Rodgers, Derek Carr, Jimmy Garoppolo for 2023 season

On the statistical front, Suryakumar Yadav scored only 26 not out off 31 balls, but considering the game situation, it was nothing short than a match-defining knock. The trio of Yuzvendra Chahal , Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav impressed on a helping surface to limit a self-destructing New Zealand to 99 for eight, their lowest total against India in the shortest format. It should have been a straight-forward run chase but the top-order comprising Ishan Kishan (19 off 32), Shubman Gill (11 off 9) and Rahul Tripathi (13 off 18) had a tough … [Read more...] about Suryakumar Yadav Indirectly Credits MS Dhoni For “Calm Attitude” On Challenging Tracks. LeBron James will return Tuesday, play first game at Madison Square Garden since 2020, per report
Getty Images LeBron James holds a special place in his heart for Madison Square Garden. When he played his final game against former teammate and friend Dwyane Wade, he declared that only the then-Staples Center and the Garden were worthy venues for such an occasion. He has had a number of notable performances there throughout his career, including a 52-point triple-double in 2009, but lately, he hasn't been able to replicate that success in New York. That's no fault of his own. The Los Angeles Lakers play only a single game on the road against the Knicks per season. Last year, James was suspended for that game due to an altercation with Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart . The year prior, he was injured. That means that James hasn't played at Madison Square Garden since 2020. That streak will end on Tuesday, however, when the Lakers complete their New York back-to-back with a game against the Knicks, and according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin , James will play. … [Read more...] about LeBron James will return Tuesday, play first game at Madison Square Garden since 2020, per report
